Typepad Importing Guide

Squarespace allows you to easily import entires from your Typepad weblog to your new Squarespace journal.
Step 1 - Export from Typepad
To create an Export file, click the List Posts shortcut link for the weblog on the Weblogs tab.
Then, click the Import/Export link to enter the Export area.
To save the exported data to a file, you can right-click the Export Posts link and choose "Save Target As..." in Internet Explorer and "Save Link As..." in Firefox. On a Macintosh, hold down the option key while clicking on the link and select "Save Link As..."
Then, you will be asked to choose a location to save the file to your computer.
Step 2 - Import to Squarespace
In the Data & Media > Data Backup & Restore > Journal Import section of your website manager, select the file you saved to
your hard disk containing old blog data, and select to import this file as a Movable Type import file. Click import. You're finished.
