You can map your own domain name to your Squarespace site using our Domain Mapping feature.  Please note, this feature is not available with our Basic plan. You must upgrade your account to Pro or higher to access this service. 

The following instructions are for configuring your domain in the Network Solutions control panel.  These instructions assume you have already registered a domain with Network Solutions, and can take up to 48 hours to propagate through the internet.

Step 1 - Login to Your Network Solutions Account

Using the login prompt in the top right corner of the screen at networksolutions.com, enter your login credentials.

Step 2 - Create a Custom DNS Setting

Click 'edit' next to 'Custom DNS Setting' (this may say 'Edit DNS' if domain was previously pointed elsewhere.)

Step 3 - Confirm Your Request

Click 'Continue' under the 'DNS Manager Advanced Tools' warning message.

Step 4 - Edit your A Records

Click 'Add/Edit' under the 'IP Address' overview.

 
Amend the Numeric IP in all active fields to read 69.28.242.163 and click 'Continue.'

Step 5 - Review Changes

Confirm deletion of Under Construction Pages and addition of new A Records by clicking 'Continue.'

Step 6 - Login to your Squarespace site

Within the Structure & Style > Domain Mapping area, create two records -- www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com. Set your www.yourdomain.com record as the primary.
