Domain Mapping with GoDaddy (New Interface)
You can map your own domain name to your Squarespace site using our Domain Mapping feature. Please note, this feature is not available with our Basic plan. You must upgrade your account to Pro or higher to access this service.
The following instructions are for configuring your domain in GoDaddy's control panel. These instructions assume you have already registered a domain with GoDaddy, and can take up to 48 hours to propagate through the Internet.
Step 1 - Login to Your GoDaddy Account
Using the login prompt in the top right corner of the screen at http://www.godaddy.com/, enter your login credentials and click "Secure Login"
Step 2 - Access Your GoDaddy Account Settings
Once your account has been accessed, click "My Account" where the login promp previously was. Now, at the top left of the screen, hover your mouse over the "Domains" box, and select "My Domain Names" from the drop down list.

Step 3 - Access Your GoDaddy Domain Names
Click on the domain you'd like to map to Squarespace.

Step 3 - Access Advanced DNS Settings
Scroll down, and look for the box labeled "Total DNS Control". Here, click "Total DNS Control and MX Records".

Step 4 - Point Your Domain to Squarespace (Part 1)
Scroll down to the "CNAMES (Aliases)" box. Next to the "www" record, click the box with the picture of a pencil on it and enter "www.squarespace.com" in the "Points To Host Name:" box, then click "OK".

Step 5 - Point Your Domain to Squarespace (Part 2)
Now find the box labeled "A (Host)". Click the pencil icon next to the "@" followed by an IP address. In the "Points to IP Address" box, enter "69.28.242.163" and click "OK". When finished, it should look like this:

Step 6 - Login to your Squarespace site manager
Within the Structure & Style > Domain Mapping area, create two records -- www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com. Set your www.yourdomain.com record as the primary.
