Creating a New Journal Entry

Step 1 - Access the Journal

When logged in and viewing the the journal page, click the post new entry button.

Note:  Be sure to switch to Content Editing in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 2 - Add Content to Your Journal Entry

In the entry edit window, add your content into the journal entry. Enter at least the title of the entry and some content within the body area below (the large white box).

Step 3 - Publishing Your Journal Entry

To publish your journal entry so that it's visible on your live site, press the Save & Close button at the bottom of the Squarespace editor.

Step 4 (Optional) - Save as Draft

Uncheck the Published checkbox in the upper right before you save and close your entry. This will save what you've written so you can work on it later, but will prevent your entry from displaying on your live site.  When you're ready to publish the entry, simply check the Published box.

Writing a long entry? We recommend you Save your work every so often (assuming you've unchecked your Published checkbox as noted above). When you Save (versus Save & Close), you will save your work but the editor will remain open to allow you to continue adding or editing your journal entry content.
