Adding A Section

Posted on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 04:51PM by Registered CommenterA. Casalena in | Comments Off

A section is used to organize your Pages and Widgets in groups for easier display in your sidebar, or to hide certain Pages from your sidebar.

Step 1 - Access Your Administration Area

Step 2 - Access Your Architecture Area

To add a section, navigate to Structure & Style > Architecture in your Administration area.

Step 3 - Add A Section

Click Add Section at the bottom of the Architecture page.

Step 4 - Configure the Section

Enter the title of your new Section and press Create Section. Don't want to name your section? You actually don't have to, as you can leave the "Title" field blank if you like.

Step 5 - Preview the Section

The new section will now be displayed at the bottom of your Architecture page, and the bottom of your sidebar on your live site.

Don't want the pages in your section to be visible in your sidebar? From the Architecture page of your site manager, click 'hide' in the gray header bar of your section to remove it from the sidebar of your live site.
